Welcome to Howell Shooting Club

July 1st Howell Shooting Club and SAFER USA hosted 65 criminal justice program students from Westwood College for the afternoon. Students were given basic pistol and rifle safety and marksmanship orientation.

• Fun Shoot: Sunday, August 3, after the general board meeting we will have a shotgun fun shoot.  Any gage shotgun can be used.  We have a new electric thrower that we will use and we will supply the clays.  You must supply your own ammo and equipment.  This will be strictly a fun shoot for inexperienced as well as experienced.  We will set up a competition for those who what to participate.
• Notice:  Homeland security will be using the club every Monday and Friday for the entire month of August. 
• Disposal Guidelines:  Please place expended shotgun shells in the dumpster.
  If you use up multiple cardboard or paper targets, please take them to the 'burn pile' on the back berm.
• General:  David Lombardo has recently been appointed an NRA Training Counselor.
  Anyone interested in becoming an NRA Certified Instructor should contact him ASAP to set up a class.

Because  of the close proximity to fellow shooters, and the styles and types of targets that are available, SAFETY must be our most important concern. Please review the club membership manual for rules.
