Application Procedure For New Members:

1. Download/print BOTH the Member Handbook and the Member Application Package (below-right), follow the instructions and contact David Lombardo with any questions. Or you can contact Mr. Lombardo and ask him to send you a Membership Application Package. That package should include a "Membership Application" form with current membership rates, a copy of the Member ’s Manual, and a copy of the club’s "Safety Questionnaire/Exam".

2. Read through the Member Handbook and the Member’s Manual thoroughly and become familiar with the rules and regulations that govern all members of the club. Fill out the Safety Questionnaire/Exam.

3. Make a photocopy of your current NRA Membership card and your current Illinois Firearm Owners Identification card (FOID). Make sure that both cards are current.

4. BRING your completed Membership Application, Safety Questionnaire, NRA and FOID photocopies, and personal check or money order made out to the "Howell Shooting Club" in the appropriate amount to a GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING.

5. The General Membership meetings are scheduled for the first Sunday of each month and begin at 9:30 a.m. Attendance at one of these meetings is mandatory. It gives the Board members and other members of the club the opportunity to meet and become acquainted with you and/or your family members.
   Please bring your:

   • Membership Application,
   • Safety Questionnaire,
   • NRA and FOID photocopies,
   • and personal check or money order
   to the General Meeting.
    

6. Once approved by the Board, you will be issued a Membership card and member number. This card is of the clip-on variety and is to be displayed at all times when you are on the Howell Shooting Club property. Your member number is to be used whenever you sign in to use the range.

7. Attend a range Safety/Orientation meeting before using the range for the first time. Please contact the Range Safety Officer or other board member for information regarding the orientation and what you need to do to complete the procedures.
